CALLING ALL WALDORF HOMESCHOOLERS!

Did you wish there was a book about Waldorf Homeschooling from the people who have done it?  Did you have specific questions you wanted answered?  Maybe you have been on the path for a long time and you have a story to share with a family who is just getting started…  Well if you are reading this, it just may be your lucky day!

We are seeking 28 families who want to offer submission to a book we are working on.  The participating families need to write about their Waldorf Homeschool experience…

Within their content, they need to answer questions such as

• Why do you homeschool
• What does your typical day/week/month look like
• How do you find what to teach
• Why Waldorf methods
• How do you socialize your children
• What do your kids think about it
• How do you make it work
• and much more.

The goal of the book is to honestly share with readers the how’s and why’s and the successes and failures of choosing to homeschool in the Waldorf way.

UPDATE:  DATE FOR SUBMISSION HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO OCTOBER 10 AND THERE MUST BE AT LEAST 28 ENTREES FOR PRIZE TO BE AWARDED.

CONTEST RULES:

Submissions must include:

• 2-3 high resolution family photos (.jpg. .jpeg or .png) with a photo release note
• 1 paragraph author or brief family bio (can include 1 web link/reference)
• each submission should be at least 2.5 pages (and no more than 10 pages) sent over on Word Doc. with a font size 10. Do not worry about formatting except use of BOLD or ITALIC.
• We reserve the right to edit for punctuation, sentence flow and style.
• Yes, up to two family members may enter (example: a moms view and a dads view or a parents view and a child’s view) Just remember, we need the images, bios, etc for both.
• There must be AT LEAST 28 ENTREES for prize to be awarded.
• Deadline is Sept 30, 2012    OCTOBER 10, 2012

We are purposefully not setting rigid guidelines because we trust that YOU KNOW what you think others WANT TO KNOW and we want the stories to be as unique as each one of you, and we want you to have FUN while helping others!

Thank you.  Oh – and everyone who submits will automatically be entered into a drawing for a set of wooden playstands shipped directly from the manufacturer to you.  Winner will be drawn from those who send in a submission with the bio, photo and release.  Additionally, those who participate will also be able to order up to 25 copies of the book at book seller (wholesale) cost.  You win in so many ways! 😉
